Profiling and softening the tabletop edges. One of my favorite parts of making a piece- trying to find the point between keeping things crisp without being sharp, and friendly without turning to mush. The way a piece feels under your fingertips is as important, to me, as the look and function of a piece. The mood and purpose of a piece should inform how it feels, and vice versa. It's one of the main reasons I work by myself, and (mostly) avoid production work- I know how I want things to feel, but it can be hard to explain to someone else, and is almost always impractical in a production setting. Mostly I just think things should feel nice.
