The original idea behind this project was to complete one bowl a day, for one year. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed, and the scope was narrowed to one-hundred bowls in one-hundred days. All the bowls would then be for sale at Empty Bowls Houston, with all proceeds benefitting Houston Food Bank.
Turning this many bowls was a challenge. And while I didn't quite make the 100-day goal, I did eventually turn all 100 bowls. Empty Bowls ended up being a huge success (in no small part thanks to all the other artists who donated their work and time!) - we raised over $25,000 to help Houston's hungry.
