One of two "Sponsor Bowls" made for Empty Bowls Houston, in appreciation for the organizations that help make the event such a success every year.
The wood for these bowls, better known in these parts as "bodark," actually came from a park just down the street from the park. It is inexplicably, unimaginably heavy, but carves surpising well. I was really excited for the opportunity to make these bowls.
