This piece was a commission for a table that could seat a family of four, but could be stored out of the way when it wasn't in use. The brief called for a "something simple looking," which meant that construction was anything but: custom hardware to support the two table leaves had to be designed and fabricated from scratch. I am excited about how this table turned out, and more importantly, so was the client. (And, as far as I know, the system we came up with for supporting the drop leaves is the only one of its kind, which I think is kind of cool.)
